Supplying Brief & Design Assets
Setting the Foundation for Success
Every exceptional vehicle livery design project begins with a clear understanding of your vision, goals, and requirements. By providing us with comprehensive project information upfront, you're investing in a smoother, more efficient creative process that delivers results aligned with your expectations.
A well-prepared brief serves as the roadmap for your entire project. It helps our team understand not just what you want, but why you want it, enabling us to make informed creative decisions that support your business objectives. The time you invest in preparing these details at the start saves valuable revision cycles later and ensures we're all working toward the same vision.

At Popin, we have prepared a checklist below to help inform you of what to supply with your enquiry or at the beginning of the design process. This includes survey images, logo types, colours and much more. By following the checklist, you can ensure a prompt start of your project and avoid any hold ups that can be caused by lack of content, etc.
The Enquiry, Brief & Assets Checklist
What should I send to Popin with my enquiry?
1. Your Brief
Your brief serves as a set of guidelines that enable Popin to tailor designs that achieve your vision. The more detailed the brief, the more likely you'll be presented with options that tick all of the boxes. For the design, you may want something featuring a lot of imagery, or perhaps something vibrant and contrasting.
Rather than including your brief in an initial email enquiry, you may opt to have a phone call or consultation with one of our talented Project Managers instead. If this is the case, be sure to include your contact details and one of the team will be happy to get in touch and discuss your job.
2. Survey Images of Your Vehicle(s)
Providing survey images of your vehicle is a crucial step in the process for several reasons. Knowing the exact spec and condition of the vehicle Popin will be working on allows us to provide the most accurate proofs and pricing. For example the Ford Transit has several lengths, heights and trim variations within each generation. This presents a situation where we would need to assume a model from hundreds of possible vehicle blueprints to work from making it impossible to quote you a truly accurate price. The supplying of survey images eliminates this problem and ensures you get the correct cost for your vehicle.
The minimum requirement for survey images is one from each side as illustrated below. Please note that estimates given without receiving survey images are provisional only. You will not be able to be booked in for any work without Popin having seen your vehicle first.

3. Logo Files
When supplying your logo files to Popin, we always request that you supply vector (editable) graphics over raster graphics where possible. This is because vector graphics can be scaled infinitely without losing quality and they are also readable on our manufacturing machines for the purposes of cutting, etc. Filetypes that are typically vector files include .ai, .svg, .eps & .pdf.
Raster graphics are effectively images and logos in the format are typically created for use of websites, email signatures, etc. This means they can pixelate and lose quality when scaled up to full vehicle size. Raster graphics also cannot be read by cutting machine software. Examples of raster graphic filetypes include .jpeg, .png & .gif.
If you are not able to provide vector graphics, don't worry - Popin can offer a logo redraw service where required.
